The small taste of summer has come to an abrupt end in Waterford as the county is in for heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

A Yellow Weather Warning has been issued by Met Éireann for the Déise county along with Cork, and Kerry.

The alert is valid from 9pm this evening, Thursday, June 18, until 9am tomorrow, June 19.

Spot flooding is predicted for the county, with potential difficulty for travel due to weather conditions.
