Will Waterford's Clock Tower get repaired?

Metropolitan Mayor and Fianna Fáil Councillor Adam Wyse asked for an update on repairs to the Clock Tower. He also asked, “Did we ever find the Waterford mine that went missing?”
Senior Executive Officer Claire Hartley confirmed that a funding application has been put forward to repair the Clock Tower, “both the external repairs and repairs to the internal platform of the Clock Tower.”
Ms Hartley said she does not know where the Waterford mine is. Senior Engineer Alan Kirwin said that they “found the mine up in the yard hidden under some stuff.”
Mayor Wyse asked, “Is there any way we could make use of it? When the South Plaza is back it could be reinstated by the Clock Tower where it used to be.”
