Waterford native and EY graduate, Jill Brophy has secured first place in Ireland's Chartered Accountants Proficiency 2 (CAP2) examinations, a part of the qualification process for becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Originally from Tramore, Jill is currently enrolled on Assurance Graduate Programme at EY's Waterford office.

After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Limerick in 2022, Jill joined EY's Assurance Graduate Programme as part of the audit team. In her role, she assists clients in navigating complex risk landscapes while maintaining a focus on their broader business objectives. Jill placed second place in Ireland in the CAP1 exams in 2023 and was a finalist for EY's Graduate of the Year that year.

Ronan Clinton, EY Waterford Lead Partner, said: "Jill’s performance in the CAP2 exams is a testament to her professional dedication and the quality of our graduate talent in EY. Her consistent high achievements reflect her hard work and the calibre of our training. We are delighted to have Jill as part of our team in Waterford, where she plays a key role in both our business and office culture."

Jill herself expressed delight at her success: "My experience at EY to date, as part of the Graduate Programme, has been incredibly rewarding, offering both professional growth and a supportive community."

"The Waterford office combines the best of EY's global network with the close-knit atmosphere of the Waterford office and I'm truly thankful for the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and colleagues," she said.
