Waterford records third-highest Enterprise Ireland job growth in Ireland
Ireland's nine regions all recorded job growth in Enterprise Ireland-supported positions.
Waterford recorded a 5.1% net job growth in Enterprise Ireland-supported jobs in 2025. The results meant Waterford ranked third in Ireland for the rate of net growth.
261 new jobs were created by Enterprise Ireland in Waterford. The South East region as a whole grew by 2.3% to 22,254 jobs.
Enterprise Ireland is a state-funded body that supports Irish businesses of various sizes in scaling.
“Enterprise Ireland supported companies are continuing to create high quality, future focused jobs in communities across Ireland – the result of which we can see here in Waterford,” said Waterford Fine Gael TD and Minister of State for Local Government and Planning John Cummins.
“This strong regional performance is particularly encouraging and reflects strategic investment in skills, innovation and local enterprise growth."
Job positions in Enterprise Ireland companies rose to 232,425 – a net increase of 2,938 jobs over the year. 69% of all new jobs were created outside of Dublin.
