Female entrepreneurs and budding businesswomen from across Waterford are being encouraged to register for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day.

National Women’s Enterprise Day is Ireland’s largest female enterprise event. It promotes, encourages and stimulates female entrepreneurship across Ireland. It is designed and led by women and is an annual high point in promoting entrepreneurship to women in Ireland. The Local Enterprise Office along with Enterprise Ireland provide a wide range of help, incentives, training, and development programmes to female entrepreneurs.

The Waterford event, which will take place on Thursday, October 17, at the Majestic Hotel in Tramore, is a Local Enterprise Office (LEO) initiative that will be aimed at informing and inspiring through guest speakers.

Following a buffet breakfast, the day will kick off with a workshop led by Sinead O’Neill, titled ‘Target Questions for Insights to Unlocking Success.’ The focus will then shift to a panel session hosted by Lynda Lawton. The panel will include Stephanie Wickham of Expat Taxes, TV cook and broadcaster Aisling Larkin, Mailo Power of Monkey Cups, and Eadaoin Carrick, Executive Chairperson of Cantec Group and Vice President of Waterford Chamber. They will explore ‘Navigating Leadership and Overcoming Challenges’, offering valuable insights and practical advice from their diverse experiences.

Keynote speaker Dee Hutchinson will then address the room, focusing on, ‘Unleashing Potential: Transformative Tools for Women to Make It Happen in Business and Beyond.’

The tickets for the National Women’s Enterprise event cost €20 and it will take place from 9am to 12.30pm.
