Waterford gardaí investigate late night burglary of a store where staff were working

Waterford gardaí are appealing for information on two burglaries which occurred over the past week.

The first incident was on Friday, July 31, just after midnight at Tesco Ardkeen.

A male wearing a grey hoodie and black trousers gained entry to the closed store by smashing a large pane of glass and stole a number of items.

Staff were in the store at the time.

The male then left in the direction of the Faronshoneen Roundabout.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information is asked to contact the crime unit at Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300.

The second incident happened in Osbourne Terrace, Bonmahon between 7pm and 8:30pm on Thursday, July 30.

Gardai say the house was entered through the rear of the property and a handbag with a wallet, cash and cards was taken.

It is reported that a deckchair was also stolen from the garden.
