Waterford Council CEO says there are reasons to be hopeful about Waterford Airport

The Waterford City and County Council CEO Seán McKeown has said he is hopeful for progress on expanding Waterford Airport.

Mr McKeown said at this month’s sitting of Waterford City and County Council in Dungarvan that although there is no update, there is reason to hope.

“The only positive is that the two parties that are trying to form a Government at the moment had it strongly in their manifestos, so one would include it as a priority for the region,” said Mr McKeown.

Mr McKeown was responding to City East Councillor David Daniels, who asked for an update on the December plenary meeting.
