The award winners of this year’s Waterford city St Patrick’s Day parade have been announced.
The parade weaved its way through the streets of Waterford, along with over 2,100 participants, representing local arts, sports, charity and cultural groups.
The Overall Entry Award was granted to Waterford Viking Sports & Arts Club. Alive with colour and energy, the procession featured a multicultural delegation, who serenaded the crowd with traditional music and dance.
The Band Award went to City of Waterford Brass, whilst the Youth Group Award was granted to Waterford Youth Arts.
Park Rangers AFC won the Sport Award, and the Arts Award went to Jack Cunningham Productions.
Two Special Commendation Awards were also handed out, to Waterford Estuary Men’s Shed, and the Filipino Irish Community of Waterford.
