Workplace safety handbook with occupational safety equipment still life, a work training class and instruction manual for using safety equipment and administering first aid. Employment education document with protective eyewear, hard hat, first aid kit, work glove, and pollution mask. Guidance and planning tools in horizontal format with copy space.

A Waterford author will launch a new book this week, which aims to assist small business owners.

Waterford's well-known health and safety consultant, Mary Darlington, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry, has produced the newest go-to guide, Safety Sorted, which simplifies health and safety "for the untrained layman".

The book covers 33 topics, features 18 cases and includes a range of checklists and other resources to help small business get started. "There is nothing like this out there," said Ms Darlington.

The launch of Safety Sorted takes place in The Book Centre, Waterford at 6pm on Friday, May 3.
