Volunteers sought for proposed John's River restoration project
St Johns River proposal by Fabricio Gazzoni
A group behind a proposed restoration project for Waterford's John's River is seeking new members and public support ahead of plans to present its proposals to local authorities.
The initiative aims to improve the condition of the river through a range of environmental and landscaping measures designed to enhance the area and strengthen its connection with the local community.
Organisers are encouraging residents, community groups and anyone interested in the future of the river to get involved and support the campaign through an online survey.
The proposal is expected to be submitted to authorities later this month, with supporters hoping strong community backing will help move the project forward.
