Uisce Éireann still working to fix water outages in Bunmahon

Uisce Éireann crews are still working to restore a normal water supply in Bunmahon.
While a regular water supply has been restored to the majority of residents and businesses, a small number continue to experience low pressure and or intermittent outages, says Uisce Éireann.
Crews are still on site and are working to resolve the issue and restore normal water to the area as quickly as possible.
Alternative water supplies remain in place at Copperhill and in Bunmahon Village beside the public toilets.
Uisce Éireann issued a reminder for those availing of the alternative water supplies to use clean containers when collecting water from tankers and, as a precautionary measure, to boil water before consumption.
Uisce Éireann's Maura Phelan said: “We understand the impact that water supply interruptions can have on homes and businesses and would like to thank the community for its continued patience and support. Our crews are working tirelessly to restore supply to the remaining affected customers as quickly as possible.”
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from them for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. To register as a vulnerable customer, or as an alternative contact, visit the Vulnerable Customers section of water.ie.
Uisce Éireann also offers a free text alert service providing real-time updates for local water supply issues. Customers can sign up using their Eircode and mobile number on the text alerts page at water.ie.
