Thunderstorm warning issued for Waterford

Met Eireann has issued a level yellow weather alert for thunderstorms in Waterford. 

Scattered thunderstorms are moving up from the south today, with potential for lightning and hail damage.

Locals are advised to be mindful of slippy roads and impaired visibility where showers hit.

The alert is valid today (Wednesday) from 2pm to 7pm.

The affected areas are Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Wexford and Waterford.
