The Big Breakfast Swap features at Harvest Festival
Harvest Festival will be running from September 4 - 6.
This year's Harvest Festival will feature a very special breakfast in support of a good cause.
The Big Breakfast Swap is giving away 50 breakfasts in return for 50 donations of non-perishable food items.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 6 from 9.30am–11am on the Harvest Stage.
Harvest Festival organisers say: "We have just 50 places available, so registration is essential. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order applications are received.
"To take part, all we ask is that you bring along non-perishable food items to donate to the Waterford Food Bank"
People are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the Harvest Stage which will then go on to the Waterford Food Bank. Donors will be treated to a lovely blaa breakfast from The Olive Café in return.
Waterford Food Bank was created in 2017 to help families and communities struggling with food poverty across the county. The Food Bank provides food parcels to over 250 families a week. They also operate breakfast clubs for children attending Deis schools.
The Big Breakfast Swap is supported by generous local food outlets The Olive Café, Countrystyle Foods and Hickey’s Bakery.
