Talk of redundancies at Garrett Advancing Motion
A source revealed up to 36 redundancies are to be made at the company.
There have been reports of 36 voluntary redundancies being tendered at Garrett Advancing Motion branch in Waterford.
A source has informed the News and Star that workers were informed this week about looming redundancies.
This has sparked concern for employees, as only a few months ago around a dozen workers took voluntary redundancies due to lost part numbers.
According to the source, at present there are 45 employees on staff and 112 workers on the floor.
The news of redundancies have ignited fears over job losses, only four weeks before Christmas.
Garrett Advancing Motion set up in Waterford in 1979. Some employees have been working under the company for decades.
The branch is located in the IDA Industrial Estate off the Cork Road.
