South East Technological University (SETU) has announced it will participate in Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann which is currently taking place in Wexford town.

A spokesperson for the university told Waterford News & Star: "SETU will attend from August 7 to 10. This annual festival, organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann in association with Wexford County Council, is the world's largest celebration of Irish music, song, and dance.

Last year it drew over 600,000 visitors to the Model County and the south east.

"SETU's presence at the Fleadh underscores its commitment to promoting Irish culture and supporting the arts," said the university's spokesperson.

"Our School’s Liaison team will be on hand to answer any queries in relation to our diverse range of programmes," she added. 

In addition, there will also be performances from the university's Bachelor of Arts in Music students over the four days.

CALMAST (Centre for the Advancement of Learning of Maths, Science and Technology) will be delivering hands-on STEM activities for all the family and visitors to the SETU stand can expect expect interactive demonstrations, information on courses, and performances by students and faculty, offering a glimpse into the university's vibrant cultural scene.
