It could be an early Christmas miracle.
A frightened deer was discovered on the Belview Port Road and rescued by kindly Samaritan, Denis Keogh.
Denis discovered the injured deer and sat with the young creature while waiting for Waterford Animal Welfare.
The deer was brought to Suirside Veterinary Clinic where he was treated with pain relief and antibiotics.
According to Waterford Animal Welfare's, Andrew Quinn, the little deer is recovering well and will be returned back to wild to be reunited with his furry pals.
