Rescue operations near Coumshingaun Lake in County Waterford

South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association undertake successful rescue operation
South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association recently undertook a rescue operation near Coumshingaun.
SEMRA received a call from An Garda Síochána to assist a group of walkers, as heavy mist had descended and they were unsure of the way back to the carpark. They made the wise decision to stay put and call for help.
The call came in at 2.52pm and just 30 minutes later team members were assembling in Kilclooney. SEMRA used phone find technology to confirm the location of the group.
Team members escorted the wet and tired walkers off the hill and back to the safety and warmth of their car. Everyone got safely off the hill by 5.30pm.
