Quiz night on the way in County Waterford

There is excitement growing in County Waterford ahead of an upcoming quiz night.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 14, in the Sportsman's Bar in Cappoquinn.

One of those involved in the local Tourin community committee commented: "As our 2026 quiz night approaches rest assured that Quiz Master extraordinaire Edward Lynch is extremely busy putting together just the ‘right mix’ of questions. This takes a bit of fine tuning to get the balance right, making sure that there are a few to test you without them being too difficult, and a few easy ones to make us think we might be geniuses".

"It also would be wise to remember there might be a couple of curve balls thrown in just to keep us on our toes – sure that’s half the fun," said the spokesperson.

For quiz fans there will be much to look forward to as the categories will be varied and will cover a number of topics including subjects like the Olympics, Donald Trump and the Paralympics - which are due to start March 6th.

"Local news and maybe Cheltenham past and present could feature too," said the spokesperson.

Everyone in the community and beyond is encouraged to go along and join in the fun and give their support to what promises to be a great event.
