Waterford City and County Council is advising the public of wave overtopping and flooding in Dungarvan and Tramore.

The Clonea Road at Sallybrook is flooded from wave overtopping on the L3003 Gold Coast Road, Dungarvan.

Motorists are advised not to drive through flooding as the depth can appear deceptive.

The council reports significant flooding at Clyde Wharf Car Park. 

There is also reports of significant amounts of surface water on the Prom in Tramore. 

The council are also reminding the public that a status orange wind warning is in place today until 3pm.

Strong winds, heavy rain and poor conditions are expected throughout the day.

Additionally, there is a red maine warning in place until 3pm, and the council are asking everyone to stay away from coastal areas.

Council staff will attend National Emergency Coordination Group meetings throughout the storm, and updates will be made available on the Waterford City and County Council website.
