Cllrs Niamh O'Donovan, John Pratt and Donnchadh Mulcahy met with Gardaí.

Cllrs John Pratt, Donnchadh Mulcahy and Niamh O'Donovan met with Superintendant Larry Sheehan and Sergeant Ken O'Donovan to discuss criminal behaviour in the Lismore area.

Garda members informed the local councillors of recent incidents that were mentioned in local papers, radio stations, or on social media but which were not reported to the guards, hence why no Gardaí were deployed or any further official investigation conducted.

The three councillors advocated the need for more proactive action and support by the Gardaí in rural West Waterford.
