Plans in place to demolish and rebuild popular local supermarket

Planning permission is being sought to demolish and rebuild Lidl’s store on the Tramore Road.

The development will consist of the removal of the existing supermarket and construction of a new supermarket which is approximately 860sqm larger.

Also planned is a new plaza with pedestrian access from the R675, hard and soft landscaping, delivery area, plant compound, bicycle parking, trolley bays and new signage.

The local planning authority are expected to hand down their decision by October 12.
