Phoenix Yard continues to expand street food offering in the heart of Waterford City
Tucked into Waterford’s Cultural Quarter on O’Connell Street, Phoenix Yard Market has become one of the city’s standout street-food hubs since opening in 2020.
Built around a compact, open-air courtyard, it brings together a rotating mix of independent food trucks serving flavours from across the world in a relaxed, social setting.
Open several days a week, it has become known for its casual vibe, communal seating, and a constantly evolving lineup that keeps locals coming back.
At its core, Phoenix Yard is all about variety, different traders each bringing their own identity and cuisine.
That diversity—paired with an easygoing outdoor setting—makes it less a single food venue and more a mini street-food destination in the heart of Waterford.
A cornerstone of the yard, Chingon delivers bold Tex-Mex street food, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, loaded nachos, wings and fully loaded fries. Everything is cooked from a custom food truck with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and big flavours, including vegetarian and vegan options.
At The Burger Truck, expect a classic street-food favourite focusing on indulgent burgers and comfort food. Expect stacked burgers, fries and quick, satisfying takeaway bites that fit perfectly with the market’s casual, grab-and-go atmosphere.
Bringing heat and depth from South Indian cuisine, Andhra Spice adds a different dimension to the yard, serving richly spiced curries, rice dishes and authentic Indian street flavours that contrast nicely with the more Western offerings.
An exciting new addition to Phoenix Yard is also due to be unveiled very soon, Angelo’s New York–style pizza.
The latest addition will introduce classic NYC-style pizza by the slice, expanding the market’s lineup with a fast, no-fuss option rooted in traditional American street food culture.
Phoenix Yard Market is located at 39 O'Connell St, Trinity Without, Waterford, X91 CDC7.
