Over €6,000 raised in memory of Karl Kirby
Karl Kirby was one of Waterford's finest musicians.
Jack Power, who will be running in the Viking Marathon this month, has raised €6,138 so far in memory of Karl Kirby, who passed away five years ago.
All funds raised are going to The Ross Nugent Foundation, which helps purchase hospital equipment for St. Clare's Oncology Ward in Beaumont Hospital, where Karl spent a lot of his time during his treatment.
Karl, a double-bass player with the WIT Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, was one of Waterford’s most talented musicians. He passed away in 2019 following illness, aged 17.
