Waterford City and County Council hope to have the county's Outdoor Recreation Plan finalised this month and to launch the document later this year.

In a report to the members of the local authority in July, Chief Executive of the Council, Sean McKeown, said the members of the plan project team attended the National Outdoor Recreation Conference in Limerick in June.

Meanwhile, the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) scheme is funding 12 projects which are currently being implemented or shortly to commence. The projects are being funded under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2022 and 2023.
