Obituary: Remembering the late Richard 'Richie' Tubbritt of Larchville

The late Richie Tubbritt

It is with great sadness that the O’Sullivan/Tubbritt family announced the death of Richard (Richie) Tubbritt, late of Larchville, who passed away peacefully but suddenly in his home on December 23, 2025.

Richie was the youngest of a family of seven, born and reared in Pearse Park.

He went to school in Scoil Lorcain.

He loved football and had a great talent for hurling, playing for Erin's Own and Roanmore, which he won five county medals with during his time hurling.

Richie met his loving wife Annette and moved to Larchville where they spent many happy years and had their two children Richard and Ciara, followed by his two grandsons Tommy and Brandon.

Richie worked on the buildings for Maurice Kirwan for 21 years before he enjoyed his early retirement.

Richie loved his pint of Guinness and made many a friend in Paddy Brown’s, where he will be sadly missed for all the banter and craic he had up there.
