New off-road section of St. Declan's Way opens linking picturesque Waterford village to route

A new 1km off-road section of St. Declan’s Way, linking Cappoquin and Dromana Bridge, has officially opened.
The enhancement to the popular trail guides walkers off the previously used hazardous stretch of winding public road and onto a scenic, safe track through the farmland of West Waterford.
Mayor of Waterford Cllr Jason Murphy praised the initiative, saying, “this project shows what you can achieve when local knowledge, national support and goodwill come together.
"To all the landowners along the trail, your quiet hospitality underpins the entire experience.”
