Judge John Cheatle sentenced the man to three months' imprisonment, suspended for a period of 12 months.

A 46-year-old man appeared in court last week to plead guilty on a number of offences he committed in Waterford city.

Jamie Connolly (46), of 1 St. Saviours Green, Ballybeg, entered a guilty plea on a charge of criminal damage for breaking a window.

He also pleaded guilty to a public order incident that occurred on John’s Street on May 3 at approximately 9pm.

Connolly appeared intoxicated on the night and was approached by gardaí.

He fell from his wheelchair, becoming aggressive and abusive towards the officers, throwing his wheelchair at them.

Connolly has sixty previous convictions, ranging from dates in 1993 to 2025.

He has previously committed burglary, drink driving, possession of drugs, possession of a realistic firearm and theft.

For the charge of criminal damage, Judge John Cheatle sentenced the man to three months' imprisonment, suspended for a period of 12 months.

The other matters were taken into consideration.
