A Waterford man has pleaded guilty to one count of endangerment by vehicle.

Niall Walsh, of Crook Villa, Passage East, pleaded guilty to one count of endangerment contrary to Section 13 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

The 29-year-old committed the act while driving on the Outer Ring Road in Ballycashin on May 13, 2025. Walsh was described as "driving in a dangerous manner", which risked death and harm to other people.

Defence barrister Brian P. O'Shea BL requested the preparation of a probation report, noting that the crime was "out of character" for the defendant. Judge Eugene O'Kelly requested that victim impact statements be sought pending the sentencing date. Walsh was remanded on continuing bail and will be sentenced on April 15.
