The road is now reopened, but Gardaí are appealing for dash cam footage.

Yesterday afternoon emergency services attended the scene of a fatal collision in Kilmeaden. 

A man died following a two car collision in Kilmeaden, Co. Waterford. 

The collision, involving two cars, occurred on the R680 at Adamstown, on Monday, July 6, shortly before 1.50pm.

A driver, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was conveyed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where an autospy will take place in due course. The coroner has been notified.

According to a Garda spokesperson, no other injuries were reported at the scene.

The road was closed and an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators took place. The road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R680 at Adamstown, Kilmeaden, Co. Waterford between 1pm and 2pm on Monday, July 6 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
