Michael Kiwanuka has cancelled his upcoming All Together Now performance due to illness.

The British singer-songwriter was due to take to the Main Stage on Sunday, and was billed as one of this year's top acts at the festival.

In a statement released yesterday, the singer's team revealed that due to continued illness, and on the advice of doctors, he will be unable to perform at the rest of his scheduled festivals for the remainder of the summer and his upcoming shows in North America in October, including the support tour with Mumford & Sons.

The statement said, "We know this is disappointing news to hear, and nobody is more disappointed and saddened than Michael to no longer be taking to the stage as planned."

Posting to social media, All Together Now organisers said, "We send our love to Michael and wish him a speedy recovery and hope to welcome him to the festival in the future. The main stage schedule will be updated in the app tomorrow. We also have the first of many surprises being announced tomorrow so keep an eye on the app and socials."
