The application was submitted on December 18 by Liam Neville Developments, with a decision expected by February 20.

A planning application was recently submitted for the construction of 95 dwelling houses and a two storey creche at Cul Dara, Williamstown Road in Waterford.

The development comprises of 26 two-storey, three-bed semi-detached units, 33 two-storey, three-bed terraced/end of terrace units and eight two-storey, two-bed terraced units.

Also planned are three two/three storey duplex blocks, containing 16 two-storey, two-bed units and 12 one-bed units.

The development will include a public open space, 110 car parking spaces and cycle parking.

Planning reports state that the "proposed development and the delivery of new residential units has been supported by Waterford City & County Council and this development will contribute to the much needed supply of houses in this locality in particular.

"It is our position that the development should be permitted to complete the overall scheme that will enhance the area at Williamstown Road.”

The application was submitted on December 18 by Liam Neville Developments, with a decision expected by February 20.
