Lucky times for one Waterford person with lotto draw win
One lucky person scooped €85,884 in Tuesday night's draw
It was a case of midweek luck for one Waterford person became the biggest winner in Ireland in the Euromillions draw that took place on Tuesday, June 16, after matching five numbers in the main draw.
The lucky punter is now in line to collected a cheque for €85,884.
The winning quick pick ticket was purchased on Wednesday, June 10, at Tesco Ireland Ardkeen, Farronshoneen, on the Outer Ring Road in Ardkeen Village.
The winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw were: 18, 25, 31, 37, 45 and lucky stars 04, 09.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “We are encouraging all of our players in the Waterford area to carefully to check their EuroMillions tickets today as one person now has a prize worth €85,884 waiting to be claimed."
"The winner, who purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at Tesco in Ardkeen Village, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe," said Sarah.
"They should contact our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in National Lottery Headquarters," she added.
“While over 35,000 players in Ireland won prizes across the EuroMillions and Plus draws on Tuesday night, there was no winner of the €26,335,225 jackpot on offer," said Sarah.
"Friday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €40 million," she added.
