Cllr David Daniels carries the torch of late father 

The Daniels brothers with Returning Officer, Paul Johnson, as David signed his nomination for election to carry on the work of their late father Cllr Davy Daniels.

Cllr David Daniels (Ind) has officially signed his nomination for election. Cllr Daniels was co-opted onto the council last year, succeeding his late father Cllr. Davy Daniels.

He commented, “It was a privilege to be co-opted, and I’d like to thank everyone for their support. I’ve been on the coattails of my father, who was on the council since 1973 as an Independent. It’s quite emotional when I hear all the stories of him at the doors, and it’s fantastic to be reminded of the high standards I have to live up to."

Cllr Daniels cites support for carers, addressing waiting lists and pursuing a resolution to Waterford Airport as just a few of the key issues that he remains passionate about.
