LEO support in Waterford under Measure 1 is up slightly on last year
Funding support from Waterford Local Enterprise Office to local businesses under Measure 1 funding amounted to €400,787 up to the end of September.
It represented an increase over the same period last year, when the figure was €323,056.
Under Measure 2, the number of clients receiving support amounted to 1,677 this year - up to the same period - with the value of support given amounting to €286,430.
The number of clients who applied for funding under Measure 1, this year up to the end of September was 28, compared to 30 for the same period last year.
The number of Start Your Own Business Programme applicants this year was 142 which was up from 114 last year.
The figures were contained in a report from Waterford City & County Council Chief Executive, Sean McKeown, presented to the members of the local authority at their recent monthly plenary meeting.
