July 6 date confirmed for 24/7 cardiac care for Waterford
The date comes a decade after 24/7 cardiac care was first promised for UHW.
Monday July 6 has been confirmed as the starting date for 24/7 cardiac care in Waterford.
Councillor Adam Wyse (Fianna Fáil) announced on his social media that the date was confirmed at a health forum meeting held at Waterford City Hall.
Cllr Wyse commented: "A huge day for the South East that took far, far too long to arrive."
The announcement comes a decade after Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin and Minister Mary Butler made an electoral promise to bring 24/7 cardiac care to Waterford.
