SEMRA and Rescue 117 successfully undertook two separate rescues from the vertiginous Coumshingaun North Ridge in the Comeragh Mountains last week.

On May 8, SEMRA received a call to assist a fallen walker on the ridge.

Rescue 117 was requested and upon arrival the crew members winched the injured walker to safety.

Everyone got safely off the hill.

Just two days later, SEMRA once again responded to a call in the same area.

A walker had slipped on loose stone, suffering a leg and head injury. Team members provided first aid, splinting the injured leg.

Rescue 117 then winched the casualty on board for removal from the ridge. Once again, everyone got safely off the hill.
