Dogs found in Waterford.

Three deceased dogs have been found in a wooded area off the N25 near the Stradbally turnoff in Waterford.

Yesterday morning, Waterford Animal Welfare responded to a call from a concerned person regarding the dogs.

It is understood that one of the dogs is a black Patterdale type, one is a fawn Lurcher and one is black and brown Beagle type.

Unfortunately, Waterford Animal Welfare were unable to detect any microchips on any of the dogs.

An Garda Siochana, the local authority and the dog warden service have been made aware of the incident.

A social media post from Waterford Animal Welfare reads: “It's upsetting to think that people are still out there capable of treating animals in this way. The circumstances of their deaths has not been determined as yet.”

Waterford Animal Welfare informed the News & Star this afternoon that they are still awaiting any information on the incident.

If you have any information, please contact Waterford Animal Welfare on 087 655 1152.
