Groups in Waterford sought for food forest projects

Food Forests Ireland is seeking partnerships with groups in Waterford and Wexford for food forest projects.

Schools, Tidy Towns committees and community groups are asked to help grow a new network of community food forests across Ireland.

The charity is seeking partners along the Barrow Way, Grand Canal, Royal Canal, connecting greenways and the expanding South East Greenway network connecting Wexford and Waterford, drawing inspiration from Ireland's historic transport routes to promote biodiversity, food education and local climate action.

The initiative aims to bring practical workshops and small-scale 3m x 3m living classrooms to communities, with local groups invited to get involved and help develop long-term food resilience.
