Granville Hotel among Tripadvisor's 'best of the best' 

The Granville Hotel in Waterford City has been named on Tripadvisor’s 'Best of the Best' hotels for 2025.

Once again, the celebrated landmark hotel has been recognised among the best hotels in Ireland, earning a coveted spot on Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best hotels list for this year.

It's also the second consecutive year the hotel has made the cut.

This year the Granville Hotel also jumped up three places and ranked No. 11.

That means it's been placed among the very top hotels in Ireland for the quality and quantity of guest reviews.

The annual Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards are the highest recognition given by the platform, celebrated by only one per cent of hotels worldwide.

A spokesperson for Tripadvisor told Waterford News & Star that the Granville Hotel stands out for a number of reasons but "particularly for its exceptional atmosphere, prime location in the heart of Waterford city and for their outstanding service".

"They join an exclusive group of properties in this year’s rankings, which include a number of five-star hotels, some of which are considered among the best in the world," said the spokesperson.

General Manager of the Granville Hotel, Michael Skehan, also expressed delight while commenting on the latest accolade.

"We are thrilled to be included on this list for the second year in a row," he said.

"This achievement is a true testament to our amazing customer focussed and dedicated team," he added

"For a family owned hotel to place alongside some of the most prestigious properties in the country is a truly proud moment for the Cusack Family and the entire team."

This month the Granville Hotel are celebrating 45 years of Cusack ownership.
