Gardaí remove air rifle from house, Waterford Court hears
Jurisdiction was accepted to Waterford District Court last week.
A 64-year-old man was brought to court last week after being found in possession of an air rifle and pellets without a licence.
On May 3, 2026, a woman known to the man was terrified after finding the firearm hidden under a green cloth in the home.
She called Gardaí, who removed the firearm and found that the man who owned it was not in possession of a licence.
Jurisdiction was accepted to Waterford District Court last week.
The matter was adjourned to January 11.
The man has been remanded on bail until that date.
