Gardaí issue statement following emergency airplane landing in Carrigeen

Gardaí have issued a statement following the emergency landing of an aircraft in Carrigeen this afternoon:
"Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of an emergency landing involving a light aircraft at Carrigeen, Co. Kilkenny which occurred at approximately 12:40 pm this afternoon, Wednesday, 10th December 2025.
"No injuries have been reported.
"The scene is preserved pending an investigation by the Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU)."
