Gardaí in Dungarvan are investigating a burglary at a private residence at Upper College Road, Ardmore, Co. Waterford.

Information about the incident and suspect were aired on this month's episode of RTÉ's Crimecall.

On December 24, 2025, at approximately 4.45am, a male suspect was seen coming up the stairs of the residence while the family were sleeping.

On being disturbed by a family member the suspect fled the scene, leaving via a rear door.

The suspect is described as a white male, slightly tanned, possibly of Irish nationality.

His height is 5ft 9 (175cms) to 5ft 10 (177cms).

He is of slim build with short black hair which is pulled over to the side and a short tidy black beard.

He was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit pants, navy coloured windbreaker top, and was described as having a very neat and tidy appearance.
