The funeral arrangements for 17-year-old Avu Idris, who resided at Crystal Mews in Waterford, and the son of Fatah and Priscilla - has been confirmed with the brother of five to be laid to rest following a funeral service that will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday. July 4. 

Avu, who hailed originally from South Africa before moving to Waterford, died tragically in an e-scooter accident along with his close friend Gilbert Collins, who will be buried on Tuesday, will be remembered with a Memorial Service that will take place at Maranatha Christian Community Church. Poleberry, Waterford, on Wednesday evening, at 6.30pm.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10am at the church before Avu will begin his final journey to his place of rest at noon to Kilbarry Cemetery where he'll be buried. 

Avu will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; father Fatah, mother Priscilla, brothers Mury, Nur and Adam, sisters Noora and Aminah, uncles Kasim and Yusuf, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.
