The former hotel has been vacant for over two decades. Picture taken August 2022.

The long vacant Old Tramore Hotel, on the Strand Road, is to be demolished.

Concerns have previously been expressed by local councillors regarding the neglected and dilapidated front façade of the prominent building.

Planning application has now been approved to tear down the building and to construct two apartment blocks at the site.

Contained within the blocks will be 6 three-bed apartments, 2 one-bed apartments and 3 two-bed duplex units.
