Final draft design for former Clover Meats site to be put on display

It is anticipated that the finalised draft design for the Clover Centre will be put on public display in early April with an opportunity for submissions thereafter.

In 2023, the long vacant Clover Meats site was acquired by Kilkenny County Council, who are now in the process of transforming it into a community park. 

The public has engaged in a number of consultations to date to discuss the future usage of the site.

Ideas which have been presented to the public include the development of a community building, dog park, padel tennis court, ball wall and a MUGA (multi-use games area).

Locals have maintained that a full size playing pitch is vital.
