There was great fun and craic at Kilcohan Greyhound track over the festive period when the Déise Bikers MCC held their Christmas Party.
The club engages in fundraising activities for local organisations and this year the members held their third annual charity bike run in aid of WASSA Waterford.

They were also delighted to do so as the organisation does amazing work to bring awareness and support to kids with autism.
Déise Bikers MCC was founded in 2019 and at the time there were four founding members and there are 11 members in the club at the moment.

While obviously, there is a shared love of motorcycling among the members everyone involved with the organisation is also very happy to give their support to the fundraising initiatives the club organises throughout the year.

In addition to road run the club also makes once off donations to various other organisations throughout the year. However, it's annual road run initiative is one of the principal fundraising events it holds annually.

One of the founding members of the club commented to Waterford News & Star: "We've done three year's fundraising, charity runs, in aid of WASSA and throughout the year we give various donations to different charities. We don't publicise those so much but we give to different local organisations as one off donations rather than holding an event for them."

If the members notice other people doing fundraising initiatives they often give their support to those campaigns too and are happy to do so.

"We plan on doing charity bike runs for organisations every year," said the club spokesperson.
The club has a Facebook page on which details of events are posted.
