Easter dance in Waterford with a 'Circle of Friends'

A very special social event took place in Waterford City over Easter.

The local community group, Circle of Friends, got together for an Easter Dance.

The event took place in the Roanmore Centre and it was a fantastic success.

The organisers were delighted with the turnout and everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed their social get-together.

Music entertainment was also provided at the event by Phelan Lou.

The group is one of the most active community organisations in the city.

It's also a very welcoming and open group for those interested in meeting up in a relaxed setting and getting to know new people.

The group is open to anyone aged 50 and over.

It would be of particular interest to anyone who is interested in good company, great chats and making new friends.

One of those involved with the group commented: "Join us for a relaxed coffee morning every Tuesday at 10.30am in Dooley's Hotel."

"Come for the coffee, stay for the laughs," she said.

"Then get your dancing shoes on for music and dancing every Thursday at 8.30pm in The Roanmore GAA Centre, Cleaboy Road," she added.

Encouraging new people to attend, she commented: "Why not come along and give it a try?"

"Bring a friend, or just bring yourself," she said.

"New members are always very welcome."
