Drugs found concealed in car air vents and dashboard
Judge Staunton described the substance as “quite lethal” and said there was a degree of “professionalism” in the way it was hidden.
A local woman appeared in Waterford Courthouse last week regarding a string of alleged drug offences.
45-year-old Bridget Ward, of Ballymartin, Mullinavat, was in Waterford District Court before Judge Kevin Staunton in relation to the matters.
On January 20 of this year, Bridget Ward was stopped and searched by gardaí whilst in a car on the Poleberry Link Road.
€270 of cocaine and €720 of alprazolam were found concealed in the vehicle dashboard.
In a separate incident, which occurred on April 17 of this year, gardaí again stopped and searched a car that Ms. Ward was travelling in.
€1,797 of diamorphine was found concealed in the vehicle’s air vents.

The matters were all adjourned to January 13, 2026.
