Hundreds of walkers are expected to turn out across Waterford for this year's Darkness Into Light events.
Darkness into Light 2025 will hold two official events in Waterford this Saturday, May 10. These will take place at 4:15am in Waterford city and Ballymacarbry.
In the city the walk will start from the Regional Sports Centre (RSC), continuing past the Hypermarket, over Rice Bridge to the railway station, back across the bridge and down the Quay, past the Tower Hotel and straight out the Cork Road to the Regional Sports Centre.
A walk is also taking place in Ballymacarbry at the same time.
Meanwhile, Tramore AFC have organised a Darkness into Light fundraiser, and they will complete the walk in Tramore, commencing at Newtown Cove car park at 4.15am, walking along the Doneraile towards the beach, and finishing at the club grounds "with a coffee".
It is understood that no walk is taking place in Dungarvan this year.
Each year the Darkness into Light walks provide an opportunity for people to connect with their local community and to bring hope to people who have been impacted by suicide.
