The Daily Mail Group is reportedly hoping to buy Waterford radio station WLR FM.
That is according to the Sunday Times, which reported this weekend that the media giant was seeking to make its radio debut.
The Daily Mail owns publications in Ireland such as Evoke, Extra.ie and the Irish Mail on Sunday, but no radio stations.
DMG Media Ireland Chief Executive Paul Henderson declined to confirm the deal when asked by the Sunday Times, saying: “We are constantly looking for media assets.”
